We moved recently.
It’s interesting to me the things we hang on to. I came across many items that I haven’t used in years, but for some reason had not been able to discard.
Not this time though.
You see, I realize today that when we hang on to old things we can’t make room for new things. The same is true with our thinking. When we hang on to old thoughts, ruminate about them, spin them around, keep them in our head.. we have no room for new thought.
And new thought is magic. Another word for new thought is insight. Insight is miraculous. It’s a gift. But most of the time we innocently don’t recognize new thought because we hang on to old thoughts.
Since we moved a few weeks ago, and we discarded old items, it has opened doors for new space to consider. Less junk in drawers. Less furniture in the home. Less cups, dishes. For some reason we had about a dozen tumblers. Most of which we’ll never use. We’ve sold items, donated items, and given some away. And I’ve never felt so free.
Imagine if we lived our lives like this, not only with things, but with thoughts. Imagine the possibilities. Imagine the increased performance because we have created the space for inspired thinking.
